How To Get Rid Of Belly Fats After The Holidays

The holidays are here and it’s no surprise that many may feel tempted to give in to treats, bountiful buffets and holiday parties to accumulate fats. Who wouldn’t???

All your good intentions of trying to keep fit becomes only a wish. So you accumulate all the fats you can and worry about the consequences when the holidays are over.

This writer knows you don’t want that, nobody likes extra fats especially belly fats. So here are effective tips to lose the belly fats you acquired due to the holidays.

Cut out Sugar from your diet

Research shows that there are higher chances for one to be addicted to sugar intake and it can lead to unhealthy cycle of cravings.

Also, sugar-sweetened beverages are loaded with liquid fructose, which can make you gain belly fat. They appear to be even worse than high sugar foods.

Since your brain doesn’t process liquid calories the same way it does solid ones, you’re likely to end up consuming too many calories later on and storing them as fat.

To lose belly fat, it’s best to completely avoid sugar-sweetened beverages such as; Soda, sweet tea, alcoholic mixers containing sugar etc.

Reduce Your Alcohol Intake

Cutting back on alcohol may help reduce your waist size. Observational studies link heavy alcohol consumption to a significantly increased risk of developing central obesity that is, excess fat storage around the waist.

You don’t need to give it up altogether, but reducing the quantity you consume daily can help.

Increase Your Daily Exercise

Working on your diet isn’t enough, you must put in more efforts towards your daily exercise.

Including aerobic workouts and resistance training in your workout session will go a long way. Aerobic exercise (cardio) is an effective way to improve your health and burn calories.

One study found that postmenopausal women lost more fat from all areas when they did aerobic exercise for 300 minutes per week, compared with those who exercised 150 minutes per week.

Getting rid of fats requires hardwork but not as hard as many people present it. Don’t forget to increase your protein intake, drink enough water and I’ll be here waiting to hear your testimony.
