Jojobaby Expresses Hurt And Love On Muse
Muse EP is the second body of work by Jojobaby. Jojobaby holds on strong and better to his musical feat sonorous, chills, lyrical play and depth. As one would expect, Muse EP is a love tale of the highs and lows.
The first track, Casanova takes us on the pedestal of heartbreak and sadness. Bumbum offset the ride, Jojobaby is also an admirer like most African men, Bumbum is his appraisal for the big backside.
He brought Terri and Cee Boi on Jara. Jara is one dope song that borders between alternative sound and afro soul. It is arguably the best song off the EP, definitely worthy of the collaborations. The 4ᵗʰ track, Macaroni brings the Nigeria primary school assembly nostalgia. Far Away initiates the revamp of an orchestra/choir and how Jojobaby can uptune a chill song to shiver the spine.
Tanganrine alongside Jaywillz and Krizbeatz is a manifestation of how a simply sung memorable song is yet appealing and enticing. Shalaye is for the ladies, a walkthrough for assurance and to be loved again.
Jojobaby fans can’t get enough of Downtown so he decided to run up a remix with Lasmid as the last track, a deserving way to conclude Muse EP.
Muse EP is a good follow-up to Obsession EP. Hopefully, it is a studio album that comes through. Muse EP is constituted by 8 lovely tracks and I had no reason to skip one. In spite of the diverse sound and vibe, the synergy is fluid and seamless. Jojobaby is proof of musical ingenuity and the EP is a case study.
